Our History
When Civil War Cycling launched its website on May 1, 2017, the blog section was very active. But through time, posting frequency became sporadic and intermittent as our main content pages grew. If you are a regular visitor, you know that content touring national battlefield parks is regularly added under our Resources, Books, and Shop menus. Don’t be surprised if you see another spike in blog posts sometime soon … followed by another posting lull when I tackle work on the next guidebook and map set. In 2025, I am focusing on the development of heavily hyperlinked and cross-referenced Gettysburg Orders of Battle with the Official Records, the Soldiers and Sailors Database, and other helpful text and images. You can see my work-in-progress, here.
Search by Topic or Phrase
Use quotation marks for search phrases (e.g., “biking Gettysburg”, “Chickamauga bike trails”, “Gettysburg Day 3“, “monuments at Gettysburg”, “landscape photos”, “Antietam monument gallery”, “official records”, or “reading recommendations”). Other search ideas: guidebook, maps, monuments, flashcards, quizzes, or hunt.
